Welcome to the JUMP Website!

The Joint Urban Ministry Project, Inc., known as JUMP, is an interfaith ministry to assist individuals and families in crisis.

JUMP helps with emergency assistance, spiritual care, referrals, and advocacy for persons with low incomes. JUMP operates each weekday morning at First Congregational Church in Burlington, Vermont serving individuals and families in Chittenden County and occasionally those in nearby counties.

The Charlotte Congregational Church is one of the twenty-four Chittenden county churches that support this mission with money and volunteer support.

Volunteers Needed!

Want to represent your congregation and do some “hands on” volunteering at JUMP? There are many opportunities available with varying time commitments. You can be part of JUMP’s mission of direct assistance, spiritual care, and advocacy by serving as a weekday volunteer, board member, or committee member (it is not necessary to be a board member to be on a committee). Service decisions at JUMP are made without regard to the client’s race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital or domestic or civil union status, national origin, sexual orientation, place of birth, citizenship, mental ability, or physical ability. Inquiries from members of JUMP supporting congregations are welcome. Contact Bronwyn Rider at 802-865-9766 or bronwynkd@burlingtontelecom.net.
