Join us for the 18th annual Run or Walk for JUMP at 10:00 am, registration 9:00am! The event includes an open 5K Run, a 1K Run for kids under 14, and a 1K Walk at North Beach, 60 Institute Rd, Burlington with “FREE PARKING”. 

 

The Run (or Walk!) for JUMP is a fun event for adults, children and youth... for grandparents and grandchildren, for neighbors, friends and colleagues... this is an event for the entire community! The “Run” includes an open 5K run for all ages and a 1K run for kids 13 and under; both events include special recognitions for age levels, speed, etc.!  The “Walk” is a 1K and is planned to allow the walkers to cheer on the runners as they start and finish their events. The Run (or Walk!) for JUMP is on the Burlington Bike Path and starts from Burlington’s North Beach picnic shelter and parking area.

 

JUMP is Helping Vermont Households: The 2015 Run (or Walk!) for JUMP has a goal of raising $20,000 in support of the work of JUMP.  These funds are critical as they will empower JUMP to assist hundreds of the most vulnerable children, youth and adults in our wider community with:

           

  • Vouchers for food, clothing, household goods, laundry, utilities, transportation, and health care co-pays
  • Much needed cleaning supplies, toiletries and food.
  • Thoughtful, caring support and informed referrals from JUMP staff and volunteers during JUMP’s Drop-In Center hours: 9am to noon, Tuesday through Friday.

 

Support for JUMP comes from comes from the wider community through the support of many individuals, community organizations, businesses, foundations and grants.  JUMP receives much needed support from more than 25 area faith communities.  JUMP provides much needed, practical assistance to more than 3000 Vermont households in need annually.   

 

About the September 26, 2015 Run (or Walk!) for JUMP: Runners and walkers who raise $50 or more for JUMP will receive a free t-shirt; those raising $250 or more will receive a JUMP sweatshirt. Local businesses, including many restaurants, donate prizes for the top finishers, age group winners, and for youth and adult fundraisers. Every participant will have an opportunity to win terrific prizes. 

 

Register to Run or Walk and support JUMP: More information available August 1st you’ll be able to create your own online fundraising page on FirstGiving.com.  Paper registration forms will be mailed to all past participants in mid-August. 


Registration Cost:  $25 per Runners/Walkers and $20 per Runners 13 and younger.
